Just kidding. He's not gay -.-

Follow-up on yesterday's post.

Chun is not gay. I repeat: CHUN IS NOT GAY. Lol, yesterday's post was just a thinger.

Thing is, Show (Alan Luo) made a post on his blog which reads,

Hahaha, my entertainment world girlfriend is finally exposed! From the start, he still had not accepted the media's request for pictures and an interview. I pleaded him for a very long time but he still refused to be exposed. He said he only wants to be the great girl that quietly supports me from behind the scenes. Finally, giving face to money, he agreed. Below are pictures of my girlfriend and I. Please enjoy [pictures from previous post]. The reporters on the scene said that Valentine's Day is coming soon and that I needed to take some close pictures. They even asked me what present I was going to give my girlfriend. I said I would give him a fitness machine so his body can be more fit. He heard and was very happy and I immediately gave him a kiss. The next time you see us walking hand-in-hand in the streets, remember to give us your blessings!

This was all written by Show of course, without Chun's consent OR acknowledgement. And then later, when Chun found out, he was like.. "So I heard I'm your girlfriend..." hahahahaha yeah. So that's the story.

English translation by Celsius.

It was funny yesterday cuz when I was talking about it with Celsius and I first got the news and was freaking out, she was like "due to the immense pain caused by the downgrade of his position in your hierarchy, he decided to become a girl.... which reminds me of someone.... hehehe." lololol

Chun used to be first on my "hierarchy" -.- but now, he is no longer first. Jimmy Lin took his spot and bumped Chun to be second in rank :x And as for Kevin Cheng, I've decided I'll judge him and rank him when I'm done with The Most Beautiful Seventh Day. Oh, and the part where she said it reminds her of someone, that is reference to the 5th fangirl, name starts with "A" hehehe ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D hahahaha but dont worry, he doesnt have internet, and he doesnt come here so hahaha. Well, that is all. Until next time! :)

R.I.P. Lydia Shum (1947-2008)

I got the news today and I felt a need to blog about it. I dont really know her except that her nickname is Fei-Fei and people of the older generation, like my parents, loved her. It was through my family (mainly mom and granny) that I got to know her a bit whenever they watched those crazy asian movies that Lydia stars in.

Here is a clip that I edited from an article from star-ecentral.com called Farewell, Fei Fei by noname.

"Somehow, the mere thought that we will never see the jolly smile of Lydia Sum [on] our TV and cinema screens again seems to make the world a little less bright.

[Fei Fei] passed away [this morning] at Hong Kong’s Queen Mary Hospital after a two-year battle with liver cancer.

[She] is survived by her daughter Joyce Cheng [21], and ex-husband, actor/singer Adam Cheng.

Affectionately known as “Fei Fei” (Fatty) or “Fei Jie” (Fat Sis), [Fei Fei] was one of the most recognisable icons of Hong Kong cinema, thanks to her rotund figure, jolly smile and iconic horn-rimmed glasses.

Born in Shanghai, [Fei Fei] first joined the legendary Shaw Brothers film production studio as a child actress, and made her film debut at age 13. She then went on to appear in more than 100 movies, including some of Hong Kong’s most popular classic films such as Drunken Tai Chi, Millionaire’s Express, and It’s Mad Mad World. [She] even directed and starred in You are Wonderful.

Although best known for her comedic roles, she was also a prominent dramatic actress, and even had a cameo in the acclaimed police drama Tiger on The Beat. Sum took a break from feature films in 1997, only to return to the silver screen seven years later with the comedy In-Laws Out-Laws.

Besides her prolific feature film roles, Sum was also a regular face on television, hosting more than 5,000 TV variety show episodes, the most famous of which was hosting the TVB variety show Enjoy Yourself Tonight.

She also starred in Singaporean English-language sitcom Living with Lydia, her first English project in her 40-year career.

The role later won her an Asian Television award in 2003 for best comedy performance by an actress.

Sum married fellow artiste Adam Cheng Siu-Chow (another prominent veteran in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry) in 1985 and had a daughter, Joyce Cheng Yan-yee two years later.

The couple divorced within a year of the birth of their daughter.

Sum had remained single ever since.

According to online reports, the actress had been having ongoing health problems since 2002 when an inflammation of her bile duct landed her in hospital. Doctors extracted 36 gallstones from her body at the time.

Subsequently in September 2006, Sum was diagnosed with liver cancer, and had one third of her liver removed. She was re-admitted into the hospital about a month ago, just before Chinese New Year, and eventually passed away peacefully [this] morning.

Hong Kong chief executive Donald Tsang paid tribute to Sum’s legacy.

“Hong Kong grew up with her laughter. She brought us a lot of joy,” Tsang told reporters in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong performing Artistes Guild chairman, veteran artiste Alan Tam, expressed his sadness at Sum’s passing. Tam had just recently phoned Sum to wish her a happy Chinese New Year, and even made a date to share a meal when she recovered.

Fellow veteran actor Eric Tsang called her death a “tragedy to Hong Kong entertainment”, while referring to her as his big sister, reported online news site www.chinanews.com."

We will definitely miss you, Fei Fei. The world of asian entertainment just won't be the same without you. May you rest in peace.

Let's Catch Mouse!

Have you ever wondered what those darn Koreans are saying in those Mouse game vids? Do you ever feel compelled to chant along with them only to realize that you dont know the words or language at all? Well, here's your chance to learn! I'm doing a tutorial blog on that today. yay!

And here we go :)

Line: Jui jab-ja
Pronunciation: Juee-lee JAB JA
Translation: Let's catch mouse!

Line: Jjik, jjik, jjik
Pronunciation: Jeek, jeek, jeek
Translation: -mouse sound-

Line: Mi-ot ma-ri
Pronunciation: Mee at, mah lee
Translation: How many? (refers to how many mice hehe)

REPONDE: Ja-ba-dda
Pronunciation: ja ba da
Translation: catch

Reponde, option 2: no-choe-dda
Pronunciation: No cho da
Translation: Pass (miss)

HAHAHA this is funny :) I kno my "tutorial" sucks and its not really a tutorial lol SORRY!

so anyway! the whole game starts with the above chant (minus the responding part)
then, when the starting person names a number 1-5, the game begins! and every person down the line responds with a "catch" or "pass/miss". And silently, each player counts how many catches there are (up to the number named). When the the number of catches named is reached, everybody goes "Manse!" (mon-say) meaning Hurrah! and whoever messed up the beat of it gets whacked on the head by the two surrounding players. Great game huh? :)

Oh and here are the numbers. Um, I dont exactly know how to spell it but i know the general pronunciation of it haha.

1 - humalee

2 - doomalee
3 - sahnmalee
4 - lianmalee
5 - tahsenmalee

Hope you can learn this game from my tutorial. And make sure to teach it to all your friends so we can spread the korean madness! :)
