That quote got me thinking about this drama in general. the quote seems to imply that rei and ken are fated to be together, a fate that can't be changed.
if that's the case, then all along ken must have been hallucinating because it wouldn't matter whether he went back in time or not because their fate won't change.
or maybe he did go back in time... in his memory that is. he goes back to the memory of the photo to understand himself, understand her, understand them (her n him).

No no no, he went back and changed things. But they were small changes and quite insignificant because his change in character and how he acted towards Rei was only temporary (because it was only when he went back that there was change) so once he came back to the present, the past him continued to act as he did. Which, I guess, kind of gave Rei mixed signals. Mature & affectionate Ken. Then silly Ken, the one she's known all along.
I think the drama is less realistic than you're making it out to be... the fairy did exist and he really did time travel lol

And yes! They ARE fated to be together <3 Fate is such a common theme in dramas haha
Even though going back didnt change much, it helped him understand himself. And understand Rei. So that he could change his strategy and focus on the present instead.

i do believe that the fairy exists but time travel, im still a little skeptical about. i just don't think he needs to time travel if they were fated in the first place. but then on the other hand, he does need to time travel to make those little changes. oh gosh~ what have i become!

Well... if I generalize, then I believe in fate. Because in the end, we all die. That is everybody's eventual fate LOL
But in terms of other things... I believe fate brings opportunities, but it is up to the individual to make something of that opportunity and not let the chance slide by.
It's a team effort! :D
